I want to go to Northwestern because it's a good school, I don't know of many "unique qualities" it has. Also, how long is it supposed to be?

If you don’t know anything about Northwestern and are not willing to put any effort into finding out what makes it unique, perhaps Northwestern is not the school for you.

Things I know about Northwestern:

It’s a really good school

It’s really hard to get into

It’s near Chicago

It has what I want to major in (environmental engineering)

I live on the east coast so I’ve never seen the place. The only way I can learn how unique it is would be whatever they have on their website, do they expect us to just restate that? It seems like a pretty pretentious question. Yea tell us how awesome we are, that shows us a lot about your personality. Seriously though, how many words are they expecting?

Mine was 575 words, and lots of paragraphs. And yes, i simply talked up the school in essay form.

I hear they expect about 2 paragraphs…I wrote about what I’m interested in pursuing and how Northwestern would help me with it. From what I’ve gathered, basic research does help, restating what’s on their website without elaborating on why you did will not.

Yea I started writing about what I want to major in there, and why I want to. I might write the second paragraph about how chicago is chill or something. Thanks for your help.
