No interview yet. Will volunteering to go to Harvard for Interview help?

Like the title, no offer of interview yet. Will volunteering to go to Harvard for an interview on campus help? The distance is not trivial (4 hours of driving), but doable.

Try calling the admissions office. It's a bit late for adcom interviews I would guess, but they are doing some more (at least second interviews). However, the office does state that it does not hold it against you if you weren't offered one. It does mean that they have less information though.

Honestly, our son was not contacted for a Harvard interview until March 15 last spring. And he was accepted. So don't worry about it.

definitely don't do that. you'll look really desperate. harvard interviewers are alums and they live all over the country, not people that actually work at harvard. and chill out, many people get offered first interviews really late

My son did not get any interview contact either, but all his classmates who applied HV got interview already, which really make us feel uneasy now......son send a letter to Admission office a while ago got a automatic reply saying they will try to interview every applicants but can't guarantee it..etc....

Not sure what we should do other then waiting now, whatever4's experience gave us a little comfort though, hope we are still on the contact list.

Check the head of your state's Harvard Club, and call or email him/her. That's I did a couple days ago. I got an email today saying that it's still "interview season," and that I should get a call within 2 weeks for an interview. He also said that if no one called me, I should personally contact him, and he'd get me a direct interview himself :)

Don't be afraid to call and see what's up. Maybe they're missing something you're unaware of.
