I do understand it is hard to make it to this industry but literally are there no full time jobs available for students who get a degree in either film&tv production/arts?
Dont network television hire film students? Channels like bbc/hbo/abc, they dont offer jobs? I am kind of ignorant here …Sorry for that
What kinds of connections do you have? This is one area where who you know can take you a lot farther than just applying to any job.
You should have access to (request) information from your career center about where students in your major have gotten jobs in the past. Where did they intern? Did they have to pick up “gigs” for a while to build their resume before landing a full-time job? Did they have a relocate to an area where these jobs are more plentiful?
Without connections and internships then entry-level jobs may not throw you into the heat of production, so you may need to think broadly. Even with some internship experience, there’s still a lot of competition. I suggest you speak with those in your field, look for opportunities to network, and collect as much information as you can so that you are targeting appropriate opportunities.
