nothing here in Jersey

@yahsha no I have no idea about the mailing, just meant to say that it is apparently unusual for kids from st. louis to apply to A&S.

I’m really pretty clueless on this whole thing, how can priority mail be lost just a few hours away?

I hope they learn from this and send electronic decisions from now on. Or at least the secretary for admissions could be nicer!

dude, that lady is rude!!

I really hope that my mail is lost/late!!! lol

They said tuesday or wednesday of this week. I guess the people who got them on monday were lucky.

That makes sense, considering what they said. But then why would they say 2-3 days/prioritymail?

also if you look at the pictures from the admission blogs the bins were sorted by name…so maybe everyone who got theirs was in the A-K group or something

Vanderbilt never said it was priority mail…

@ galancers, I am a C (accepted to Engineering for Biomed!) and my friend is a V (accepted to A&S) and I have another friend who is an H and has heard squat. We live in the Midwest.

Still no mail for me in Central Texas… =/

yeah. I dunno, I think it’s just random. Here’s the rational, we’ve seen in this thread alone people from MA to CA receive letters. We’ve acceptances, rejections, and waitlists. Now we’ve seen all letters of the alphabet get letters and we’ve seen pretty much all schools get letters.

So, the only thing that MAY play a part in it is what school. But, I really think its random/how sucky your local mail office is. Personally I know mine is generally terrible and is living up to that.

I haven’t received anything here in Iowa… Freaking out. Who knows. I definitely think it’s post offices- they’re probably completely overwhelmed.

Still nothing in Texas…hopefully not a bad sign

Nothing in Maine… Maybe it’s because I live 1500 miles from vandy?

Well, announcement says most of the country either gets the decision today or tomorrow.

I live in Atlanta, GA and I have unfortunately not heard anything yet. I know two people that each live less than two miles away from me that both got weightlsted - i think they applied to the college of Arts and Sciences. I applied to Peabody so I am not sure if that makes a difference. Hopefully we will all find out soon and hopefully the delay is to our advantage!

Glad to know I am not alone on this. Good luck everyone!

I’m in Iowa too, and I haven’t heard anything! We’ll have to stick together! :)

has anyone called and found out their decision?

I rather find out in my letter and not by telephone because to me, it feels very depressing hearing it from another person…however, I’ll call after 3PM today because by then, there might be a problem with the post office…yeah, I just contradicted myself there…

Still nothing in the mail here in Texas, but when I called, the ad com was apparently busy, so I couldn’t get through.
