Nothing today=rejected/waitlisted?

So someone was saying earlier that since acceptances are priority mail and the other decisions are first class that accepted kids find out first and the rest of us didnt get in. I didn't get anything so that means I didn't get in right? Just wanted to confirm

@massgirl92

I did not get anything today either (Midweat). Let’s wait and see what happens.
Good luck to you.

IDK. I’m getting concerned though. I didn’t get anything today either. I read though that it is either going to arrive Friday or Saturday. So keep hope alive. =)

:( I’m like 99% sure we’ll both be rejected/waitlisted…
Everyone who has heard already has gotten in, and from all over the country. WHich makes sense since the acceptances are priority mail.
So it just means the rest of us will soon be receiving small envelopes…

@concreterose,I would keep hope alive if people hadn’t been hearing from all regions of the country today and if their decisions hadn’t all been acceptances  Also since the mail type isnt priority for rejections/waitlists it just means we didn’t get in UGHHHHHHHH

Nope. Doesn’t mean that. I live in Kentucky, only like an hour from Nashville, and I still haven’t gotten mine; I already know that I’ve been accepted thanks to the mosaic program. They also sent me another reminder congratulations a couple weeks ago, but still waiting on the official letter. Best of luck to everyone! Don’t stress.

AHHHHHHHHH I love you for posting on here Ryan. I was absolutely freaking out, positive that I didn’t get in. So I will keep a little hope alive now  CONGRATS ON YOUR ACCEPTANCE!

Haha glad I could help the slightest bit. Thanks a lot, and good luck to you!

No mail today for my son. Vandy is one of his stretch schools with an ACT of 29 and 3.81 unweighted had very slim chance. He had lots of APs,great ECs and NHS etc. so just took a chance. I am not trying to be a downer but seems to be that acceptances are coming sooner then rejections . USC students got most of their acceptances within first 2 days of mailing this week and rejections came 2-3 days after. It is a safe bet that those who did not hear today will be rejected but you never know. Best of luck to those accepted and time to keep moving on. His safety schools he is accepted to are DU and UVT, Uof Mn and Indiana Bloomington. Solid middle of the roads. Still waiting to hear from a few stretch schools.

I have not received anything in Southern IL. I am thinking that this is a pretty bad sign.

No mail in MD for me> Anybody else get accepted in MD?

I think that some of the posters are trying to read tea leaves. If you look at the USPS website you will see that priority mail takes 2-3 days. If you look at the Vandy site it says that you will receive your response (whatever that is) on Saturday. If you look at all of the posts you will find that there are rejections already posted (hence, repudiating the “acceptances first/rejections later” theory). All of this means that USPS delivery is inconsistent. It does not mean “It is a safe bet that those who did not hear today will be rejected” (judyjim) – if someone really believes that, I want a piece of that action.

I live in TN, and I haven’t heard yet. I just think that’s kinda weird. I would have thought that since I live in TN, I should have heard by now, accepted, waitlisted, or rejected.

You are right on this one Dad55. It is like reading tea leafs. I spoke too soon and I am sure the majority of students on this site who have applied to Vanderbilt have much higher stats and still could hear good news tomorrow.

I havent heard anything from vandy. Im assuming i didnt get in since my friend at my school already found out he got in

@perplexity - Somewhere on the board a mom posted that her son received his acceptance packet one day after his neighbor across the street did! So keep hope alive! I hope we receive good news tomorrow :)

Although the chance that it happens to me are low, it still does give me hope. Thank you for sharing that!

None of my friends applied to Vanderbilt, so I have no idea if anyone in my school or area (Northern CA) got accepted, although someone in the other thread posted an acceptance from Northern CA. Leaving out some hope for tomorrow, but not sure. Good luck everyone!

Amazingme, if it makes you feel better, I live in TN too and didn’t get a packet today. In fact, I live less than 200 miles from Nashville. I’m actually hoping that the mail is just slow for once…

any minnesotans receive mail yet?
