No Longer Need Blind?

I sent my financial information to the financial aid office back in February, way before the due date. I applied for a Non-Custodial Parent form because my father is not part of my life at all.
At all of the other schools to which I applied, the financial aid offices have been understanding and have waived my dad's financial info and proceeded to give me financial aid solely based on my mom's information.

Although I have called the financial aid office numerous times, they told me that they have received my info but have not yet looked at it.

Is it true that Tufts is no longer need blind and does that mean that I will not be considered due to my lack of funds?
I work hard and am a strong candidate, I would like to think I will be considered equally.

I don’t think they ever officially declared that admissions was need-blind, just that that was their goal. I think the two years prior to last year they were successful in being fully need-blind but failed to be fully need-blind last year. I haven’t heard anything about this year’s status, but I’m sure the admissions staff is doing everything they can to be as fair as possible.

I always thought that the financial aid office releases the financial aid package with the decision stuff.

Yeah, last year (Class of 2013 cycle) Tufts was 95% need blind. So the first 95% of applications they read were admitted/denied without regard to the applicants ability to pay. The last 5% unfortunately had to have the money.

I don’t remember where I read that though… I’m sure if you Google’d it you could find a source.
