<p>I was interested in applying to UT Austin, until I took a look at MDapplicants.com. What I found were a lot of UTA students with stellar numbers and ec's being rejected from almost every school they applied to (more so than the average student with similar stats). I realize the website doesn't display all applicants from UTA, but is there something about the university that med schools frown upon?</p>
<p>UTA is UT-Arlington, perhaps thats why they seem to be rejected. UT-Austin is simply known as UT or UT Austin - and i’m sure UT students have no trouble getting into medical school as long as they have the gpa and extracurriculars.</p>
