<p>Someone on here posted that early decision applicants receive no merit aid because "there is no need to entice them." I think that's absurd, and I've never heard that before. Any thoughts?</p>
<p>That’s false. The reason many ED applicants don’t receive as much money is because the ED applicant pool tends to be of lower quality than those applying EA or RD. It’s a reflection of the quality of the student, not a reflection of ED itself.</p>
