i have yet to see any rejections or waitlists, so i guess its true that the acceptances were mailed out first. kind of a bummer b/c g.w. was VERY high on my list.

has anyone been rejected or waitlisted? maybe there are still more acceptances to come. ::fingers crossed:: good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!

Still waiting too - We're talking major bucks to go here, so I'm not even sure I'd be able to afford it anyway. I'm wondering if they consider your financial situation on the PROFILE form when they make decisions (It seems like my stat's are higher than others have have gotten acceptances already).

Yeah, the fact I haven't heard anything from them makes me thing that I'm not in too, especially considering people have only gotten acceptances and no rejections. Oh well, to Madison I go. And just wondering, does anyone get anything on the Banweb thing that hasn't heard yet? All I see are "no record" screens, or variants thereof.

UdderlySexyCows: Do not fear, based on you comment about Madison I'm assuming you're in/near WI, and in that case I can tell you I am in WI as well and have not received anything- so it probably, based on slow processing times to the midwest- has not reached us yet.

I wouldn't worry...
I got an email (I'm international so...) from GW on the 26th saying "Congratulations, your admission packet is in the mail", and i still havn't received anything.
Which is weird because I got an email from BU on the 25th and got the letter on the 26th because BU has the sense to use express courrier.
So I guess GW is using some random snail-mail service, and let's hope we all hear soon nuf.

I'm from FL and I know 4 people (including myself) here who haven't heard (I don't know any who have). I'd be surprised if at least one of us doesn't get in (my friend got into Gtown and UVA, so I'm kind of expecting her to get accepted...).

Good luck everyone! Here's to hoping that no news is not bad news!

She can sign on to GWEB. Can someone explain the difference between what GWEB displays for students who've been accepted as opposed to those who have been rejected/waitlisted?

oh man.....its just unbelievable. GW is my safety school, and i havent heard back from them. Just wanted to say that dont lose Hope people! I got accepted to Hopkins and Cornell...........itd take something extraordinary to get me rejected at GW. then again, who knows....

My daughter still has NOT heard anything by mail. She tried BanWeb, but couldn't get logged in, despite following the directions. She called GW admissions once the mail came today, and they wouldn't say Yea or Nay, but they told her that her letter was only mailed Thursday (yesterday). Any insights into what this information might mean? Are acceptances being mailed throughout this week? Are rejections sent next week?

Okay, I got accepted today. I live in Alaska, so I would assume I would be one of the last to hear from the east coast. It was postmarked the 29th. That's the good news. The bad news is I got no money, now I have to figure out a way to pay for it!

i hate not hearing while others have. why don't they just send it all on the same day. i am expecting to get into GW and if i don't, i don't know what i'll do. i have gotten ALL rejection letters (more than 5) this week and it's been awful.

anokhi, where are you from? you live outside the US?
i am international as well, but no email. but i live in the US.

I hate to break this to everyone, but I am pretty sure that no news IS bad news. My friend ( who lives <5 mins away) found out tuesday she was accepted. I haven't heard anything and am fairly sure it's a rejection, even though it was a safety. It seemed sort of ironic to me that my friend with worse stats not only got in but got a scholarship...my GC thinks there is some Tufts syndrome going on.
