Can I put playing Halo 3 COMPETITIVELY as an EC?

I mean it requires lots of diligence and skill. There are lots of teams that earn hundreds of thousands of dollars playing this game competitively.

I've played online tournaments and enjoyed them a lot. Although, I've never actually placed high enough to earn a monetary reward : (

mlgpro.com \ this is is the organization that creates the tourneys.

Ooh, I like it. Maybe make it into a fund raising activity. What if you held a tournament and used the money to help people in Africa? Then you could write an essay about how you used your passion for video games to help people, which would of course be a segue into the necessity of pursuing a passion no matter what it is. This could of course turn into a discussion of man’s fundamental purpose and a critique of Nietzsche’s philosophy of insignificance by discussing the positive ramifications of following your dreams.

They are boring. Their novelty wears off after a while. It’s amazing that a billion dollar industry spawned out of such a hopelessly repetitive activity. It’s rather like the television industry, at one point there was innovation, there was character development and fantastic plots. Now, however, it has degraded into pointless blockbusters with a moral haphazardly slapped on to please the morally conscious.

I will admit that I used to play video games excessively, but like I said, they became incredibly repetitive. It’s for that same reason that I dislike many generic books, movies and TV shows. Creativity has gone down the drain in our constantly turned on society.

Do it! And sorry for making you look bad. “To each his own” was supposed to be in a support of musing tone. And yeah, I run Varisty XC and I get a massive kick out of it. It isn’t even about beating other people, it’s about beating myself, finding those physical boundaries and blasting through them.

Hahahhaah OP, I’d only put it down if you’re actually one of the top players. If you’re secretively disguising yourself as Snip3down (I think he’s in college already though…) or one of the teams on the top brackts then put it down. But if you’re like Hanz or LiL Poison then I wouldn’t. They aren’t as known especially since they’re all Halo 2 players.

If you just attend MLG tournaments and don’t get to at least semis then it’ll be a bad choice to put it down. If I ever became pro, I’d definitely donate all the money to Africa or something lol.

PS: I’m a hardcore MLG player as well albeit I still have 5 levels to go till I hit 50 in the MLG playlist!
