No offense,

Financial Aid & Scholarships

Undergraduate

Richmond is need-blind in admission and meets 100% of demonstrated need
$48.8 million in institutional grants awarded to 61% of students
Average need-based award: $34,400
Virginians with family income under $40,000 receive full scholarships

Does anybody know when we will start getting notification about admission??

I am not in the admissions office - I understand that you should expect to hear something on or about April 1st.

What I don’t understand is why they would choose to name so many people semi-finalists and later tell them that they don’t receive anything as opposed to just not having a semi-finalist pool. What a great way to lower their yield…

^^^^
My thoughts exactly

I just found out that this is affiliated to a church. Sh**

Inconspicuous: Nope, UR is no longer affiliated with any church…Yes, it was founded by the Baptists 150+ years ago, but sometime in the mid 1980’s, the ties were severed. The school has an office of the chaplaincy, but it is an outreach department that caters to all: Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, Muslim -and- even agnostic students. 'Not to worry, it is no longer the land of the “bible thumper”!

Phew! I’m Baptist, but given my past, I know how I react to bible thumping so I stear clear. Thanks!

UR called and asked a lot of specific info on financial aid. Does that mean they probably accepted me?
