My senior year scheduele is looking like this:

IB World Area Studies
Cross-Country/Creative Writing
IB Calculus
IB English 4
IB French 4
IB Theory of Knowledge

and... AP Computer Science.

Technically, there is not science. I could take Physics AP C instead of Computer Science. Would it truly strengthen my college app's? Because I HATE science and I am doing business in college... so what is the point in taking it? Computer science is prbly going to be useful, too (all the other classes I must take for IB/ my sanity (cross-country))

... should I take Physics instead of Comp Sci? My GPA would be slightly higher with Comp Sci since it is an easy 5.0 but I am pretty sure I can make an A (4.6 or 4.8 in Physics)...

anyways i think it's alright as long as your not planning on having a huge collge based on science classes..besides most recommend atleast 3 so your good.

i think you're really really over analyzing the situation (as many people on these boards do everything). I took 3 science clases in highschool, none of them honors or AP (didn't take one senior year). I got admitted into every school i applied to. you're taking 1 AP over another, its not a big deal. don't worry about it.

surprisingly enough, i'm just shocked that you guys go crazy about class choices in high school. I was pretty competitive in college admissions (8 for 8 :-)), and there wasn't even a year I went by that i didn't have a study hall and a lunch. go figure.

Yeah - I took the easy science courses at my school (earth science, bio in soc, and physical science) and am not taking any science course my senior year - no college I've applied to seems to mind that considering my major is international studies/international business.

Many colllege require 2/3/4 years of science in high school. Check with some prospective colleges that you are thinking of applying to, to see how many years of science they require. use that to make the decision.

^^ cross- country is a 0 and 1st period class. so yeah, it is a class... except that i gotta show up an hour before class starts. so total, there is one hour before and two periods.
