I also love tennis!

Long live the skinny skis...

Yeah Maria Sharapova is great!

I hope she wins Wimbledon again this year!

Is tennis really a cool sport to play? I play it, but it seems like so many other people play it too. I don't think I would stick out too much. Also how could you go into detail about tennis on a college application?

"No sports = auto-reject at every school"
Not at MIT it isn't hahahah

Tennis doesn't make you a man. However, i'll agree on football and basketball.

Not unless you send some to the adcoms...

xD Oh pooey, no one likes to spar. >/

For me tennis is very cool. I don't play it for school, but for fun. You can talk about tennis on your college admissions essay. If it means so much to you, you can talk about how it feels playing tennis, how much you enjoy it, how it's changed you, etc.

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=186787 - good thread about sports.

yes, Maria is hot.

I hate tennis. Do you know why I hate tennis? Because I'm not good at it :(

Yay for XCers who have NO hand-eye coordination... Unless you count jumping over passed-out bodies during races ;)

I was in a lot of ecs outside and in school but never played a sport. My college is div 1 and it is mandatory to play a sport (varsity, club, or intramural) and I still got in. And I still suck at sports.

I played volleyball, basketball, and softball, but now I've dropped softball. I didn't like it as much as the others, probably because I sucked. I love volleyball though......I'm pretty good for being 5' 4"!

our school doesn't even have a boy's volleyball team...bummer.

even though i'm not a guy. haha.

just view sports as another ec. are you going to get rejected from all colleges if you don't play an instrument? probably not.

I feel that sports are kinda neccessary for all kids or teens. They make everything more enjoyable. True they are not for everyone (many CC's) but I'm telling you pick up a sport and stick with it. And I'm sure by then end of one season you'll love it. And if not then go back to reading your chem/physics or whatever book you read in your spare time.

I'm not a natural athlete. That's why I stick to one sport. Short season, lots of fun, and I guess it does look good on the college application too...

I'm trying out for a sport this next school year which will be very fun.

I cannot play sports...physically im not capable hate sports so much that in gym i stopped playing and its been so long now that when i try I cannot do it!
