So after I resubmitted my FAFSA this year, I didn't get any Subsidized Stafford Loans offered to me? Can anyone explain why?

Nothing has changed from last year to this one in terms of finances. The only difference is that I'm living off campus.

Can I request to have a Stafford Loan (subsidized) added to my account? I don't understand why I wouldn't have been awarded any loans? I was offered both $3k sub and unsub Stafford loans last year. I didn't accept them.

Strangely enough, in My FSU the loans are now showing up as supposed to be accepted or declined now, but in the 2013-2014 financial aid section.

Going to call the office on Monday, but can anyone here offer any insight?

The only thing I can really say is that financial aid for the upcoming year is not 100% solidified yet. No matter what the financial aid office will tell you. Things can and do change as late as the day of disbursement for some people. It’s only “finalized” when it gets to your account- and even then things can, and do, change mid-semester.

The only thing I can imagine that is the cause of that is that FSU’s financial aid system isn’t 100% up-to-date. Initial financial aid awards went out several months ago and things change frequently.

I don’t know what the financial aid office will tell you, but my experience with them (and there’s a lot more than I really should have) tells me this.
