anyone out there taking psychology? i have to write an 8 paged essay about the history of learning about narcissism. its due on monday and i need some psych articles with and abstract. anyone know any good sites that can aid in truncating my grueling research ordeal? anyone want to write my essay?

I'll write your essay! Just kidding. Try ebsco or Froogle. Good luck. If it helps any, the history of type papers tend to be easier to write since you aren't really proving/arguing anything.

just b/c i am a huge stickler on grammar, page since it is a noun cannot be past tense as you wrote above, putting a noun in past tense makes it a verb as used above

...who cares?

yes try ebsco host or sirs.net

I'm very harsh on plagiarists . . . so good luck this weekend!

I'm sure you were always intending to write your own paper, though, so. . .

There are a few more places to search about psychology:

Pubmed: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi

Google Scholar: http://scholar.google.com/
Google Scholar includes the Pubmed databse. Stick to Pubmed for the neat bibliography tools, but use Google for searching.

Infotrac: Ask for account information from your school. These articles tend to be more mainstream. They can be good when reviewing a broad topic (also, their bibiliographies are great - see what articles are referenced and read them).

Cyclet: I don't know what this is, but a psychology professor just recommended it to me. I think it is restricted like Infotrac.

haha i'm with justperfect here-- i cringed when i read "8 paged"
yeah i wanna be an editor when i grow up :)

and gh0st, maybe you should be working on the paper instead of posting here... just a thought... good luck though!

thanks everyone for the criticism with regards to my grammar (twas a trick to encourage more posts/viewers), and also for the helpful websites. google scholar's so kewl. i just found out about it yesterday. i recommend people save labs.google.com as their homepage so they can always be updated on google's newest "siblings".

about the essay...i ended up spending my afternoon at a neighboring university scouring its library for relevant abstracts on narcissism. took a lifetime, but i think i have all the info i need.

ill let this thread die now...

R.I.P. thread.
