@Essence, I hope so!
@UCirvine Yeah, you don’t really get an email, you have to go on Growl and check your 2012-2013 financial aid package.

alright cool i just wanted to make sure i was on the right track lol

AP testing + waiting for UCR waitlist decision = torture.

Anyone get anything? I’ve been checking every hour since midnight. Something tells me today’s not the day.

nope-_- im feeling like tonight maybe ??

hey i was wondering if you guys knew anyone that got accepted from the ucr 2012 fall waitlist yet?

So I just called admissions, according to them it’s Wednesday. Good to know they keep changing their dates everytime you ask -_- , hopefully it really is Wednesday.

I called the admission office also they also told me that it will be released exactly on may 9th :)

I don’t know if anyone checked their MyUcr, but they postponed it to next Friday may 18. sigh

I checked also, and they said they have a lot of SIRs this year… :(

i got that same message uuuuuuuugh.

Who’d you hear from saying they have a lot of SIR’s this year?

yahh same - _ - apparently a lot of people SIR to UCR this year so less space for us … so basically if u get a response sooner then 18th ur good lol good luck to everyone!!

did anyone get a response from them tho?

This sucks :(

are you sure they said that they have a lot of SIRS? this is what my portal said

“At this time, we are currently analyzing the number of Statements of Intent to Register (SIRs) we have received from freshman applicants against the space we have available (classrooms, labs, etc.) to ascertain whether we will be able to admit students from our waitlist. As soon as this determination is made, it will be reflected on your MyUCR account. We expect to finalize this process by May 18. We realize this is an extremely stressful time for our waitlisted population, and remain committed to releasing decisions as soon as we have completed our analysis. Thank you for your continued patience.”

and just a word of encouragement a lot of people who have applied to ucr applied to ucr for a back up school, there are also much much people who applied to other higher ucs and have gotten into them. Most of the people waitlisted to UCI have been admitted ( I’ve been checking the UCI waitlist thread) and so with all those people being admitted ( probably a couple thousand) there will be more room for people at UCR

So I’m not exactly sure how accurate this info is, but I called the admissions office on friday and they said they’re looking to release the decisions by wednesday the 16th, the website says friday the 18th, but again, admissions has been wrong before. Just thought I’d share the info.

Edit: I forgot to mention that they said it was because of a system being down or something like that, which is why it wasn’t released when it was supposed to.
