<p>when they say it was a system failure… there probably just stalling giving excuses , if no one gets in they just didnt wanna let us know right away why no one got in , supposedly saying they tried its all a trick - _ - but thanks for calling lets see if they keep there word.</p>
<p>I kind of have a feeling they postponed it because once other better UC’s starting announcing wait list decisions they got a lot of last minute SIR’s pulled out, so I think they’re reevaluating exactly how many pulled out so they can fill their class size, cause I know UCLA and Irvine and Santa Cruz’s wait list already came out, haven’t been keeping track of the others, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.</p>
<p>Wait list decisions will be released no later than 5/18. If you’re applying for housing and are admitted from the wait list, you’ll have an extended housing deadline. As far as I know, no decisions have been made from the wait list yet because numbers and SIRs are still being figured out.</p>
<p>Does anyone know if UCR usually accepts people off the waitlist? 
I’ve been dying to find out and its killing me. UCR is my number one school. Did anyone appeal while being on the waitlist?</p>

<p>A lot of people that appealed to UCI, got in. They just got noticed today!
I know of a few people that turned in their SIR to UCR, but they appealed to UCI and they got in today. SO: MORE SPACE for us!</p>
<p>A ton of my friends got into UCI today too! Off appeal so hopefully there is space for us ;(</p>
<p>I’m also On the UCR waitlist but my major is economics. I really hope we get in, I know at least four people who got accepted to riverside but aren’t going. Only two more days left

<p>people in my area are turning in appeal letters to uci and with in an hour they are getting emails saying that there has been an admission status change on their uci portal and so far for all these people they have been accepted. </p>
<p>My friend with about a 1500 SAT score 3.6 gpa ( just one ap class was admitted just yesterday)
another friend with a 1300 SAT score and 3.4 gpa ( 2 ap classes but failed one of them) was admitted a while ago because he appealed a while ago</p>

<p>Im not sure what time, but ever since the college process I check my emails 2-3 times a night lol.

<p>Unlike the soulless, semi-humanoids at the College Board, the Office of Admissions is actually staffed by real, living, breathing, and sleeping people. The likelihood, unless they’ve put together a program to automatically notify – which I would bet against given the sensitivity of this information, no room for mistakes now – people via email at midnight, that the decisions will be released in the early morning hours on Friday isn’t good. I would put my money on hearing by around noon or so. Best of luck!</p>

i was admitted to UCI after appeal with 3.8 gpa with a 1500 on the SAT with no AP classes.</p>
<p>I was on the waitlist for ucr so more space in ucr!</p>
<p>Woohoo I couldn’t sleep all night because I was so anxious about this day. I keep checking myucr every ten minutes. I’m not sure how to calm down.</p>

<p>WAIT wait nope, nevermind. I called admissions. The waitlist is still being decided. They’re going to take more time to figure out the numbers. Your MyUCR account will probably be updated tonight with more information about their extended deciding period. </p>
<p>So, don’t expect a decision tonight. It’s going to take more time. Probably into next week. If you’re expecting housing or anything and are admitted from the waitlist, you’ll have an extended deadline.</p>
