no word from stony brook

i submitted my application online via the suny site in early december (only a couple of days past the unofficial deadline) and had all my stuff sent in but i never received any notice from them at all... so i never got my stony brook id/password
i just emailed the admissions office about it, which i realize is a pretty late response, but has anyone else had this problem?

Crazy question, but did you pay the application fee? SUNY ASC is holding applications on which the fee hasn't been paid, so we have no way of knowing if you've applied.

If you don't get an e-mail response from us within a day or so, let me know.

I am positive that I submitted the application with the $40 application fee, but I just double checked on my credit card account. Apparently there was a glitch in which my account was never charged--and that must be why it never went through. Thank you so much for bringing that to my attention.
I am re-submitting the application right now. Will I still be eligible for the Honors Program at Stony Brook if all my forms are processed this late in the year? I do have a 4.0+ GPA and a 1470 SAT so I hope that I will still be able to apply despite the technical problems I had.

Chris, would you happen to know if it is normal not to receive confirmation page or e-mail after submitting the application form? I did not see one either time I submitted my application and payment fee. Thanks!

I'm not sure about the confirmation screen/e-mail; that's a question for the ASC folks. Call them first thing tomorrow and they'll get you in for processing ASAP.

Once you know everything's through ASC, it'll take a few days for the file to get to us. Once we get the file, you'll get a confirmation e-mail from us; that'll include your Stony Brook ID and password to access SOLAR. Once you know you have that, then I'd contact the Honors College. There's really not much they can do until they have your application. If you'd like, once you get the pieces together, shoot me an e-mail and let me know, and I'll see if there's anything I can do on my end, but I can't promise anything, because I know they got a ton of apps for those spots this year.
