<p>I applied to Stony Brook and got in. </p>
<p>I also thought that I had sent in the application for the Honors college.. but when I called they said that they never received it.</p>
<p>I was wondering if anyone knows if you can apply to the honors college after your first year at Stony Brook? Or if there's any way to get in now?</p>
<p>I would email them, or ask if you can resend it since you know you sent it the first time.
There's an online portion, and the letter of recs. to send in... so I don't know how they couldn't get the online bit...</p>
<p>Embarrassingly, it's totally possible that they did not get it. It happens to me all the time when I'm filling out online forms... I finish it then, I go to the last page, and just don't finalize it. I did the same thing during the SATs.</p>
<p>I already sent in the recommendations. I think they have 3 from me, so I'm fine with that.</p>
<p>I would contact the Honors College directly and check in with them. If you didn't submit the online supplemental -- which happens a lot more than you'd expect -- then they don't even know you're interested. I'd contact them.</p>

<p>P.S. For what it's worth, they occasionally admit a few second-year students, but I don't think there's any guarantees from year to year. There's a new director this year, so I don't know what direction she'll go with it.</p>
