If any of you are from Massachusetts, I was wondering if you knew whether or not Senator Kerry's office conducted personal interviews. According to his website, "...evaluating committees interview each of the final 25-30 candidates personally". However, my sister, who is a plebe, received a nomination from the Senator last year and did not attend any interviews. Does anyone know the policy this year? I'm debating if I should contact his office or simply wait and see if I am requested for an interview.

i have not been contacted either im wondering the same thing, also something wierd happend recently where when you log in you can review the sent items and it had all listed and the dates and then earlier this week i looked to make sure there was no info on an interview and when i checked the list it had me listed as not having submitted anything, anyone else have that happen?

hey guys...im from Mass and I've received an LOA from the naval academy, but i've yet to hear from any of my nomination sources - i applied to both senators and my congressman. I'm getting worried also, and was really considering calling each office to see the timeline for the nomination process...

have you been contacted for interviews? are you certain that your application to each MOC was complete? they all have different requirements from transcripts to test scores to activity sheets to essays and letters of recommendation.

I have finished my MOC interview and should hear in the next few weeks but i know from talking to Senator Kennedy's office that he will not announce anything until January, howver Senator Kerry's office its still fairly confusing about what is going on there

My son applied to all three. We thought that the nomination staff in Kerry's was friendly and fairly organized. Kennedy's office was haphazard. MOC was great. None did interviews. They did not make any decisions until January. We got a reject letter from Kerry in early Feb; (still waiting to hear from Kennedy?!) but the MOC came through in early Feb with a letter saying he'd get a nom from him if USNA offered an appt. He did get the appointment and is enjoying his plebe year.

kevinsmom ...really? He was told he'd get a nomination if USNA decided on an appointment? That seems contradictory to all we've experienced, heard, i.e. the appointment follows the nom. Can you clarify, pls?

I just recieved an e-mail from Senator Kerry's office, i will paste it below

Dear navalacdmyhpfl, Congratulations!!! You have been selected by our evaluating committee and your name will be submitted to the Naval Academy . We will not be having any personal interviews as we were able to fill our quota. We also want to wish you the very best in your future endeavors.
