Nomination through AJROTC?

Hello, my name is Lizandro, and Im a Senior in Coral Gables Sr High, Miami FL. I got a call from my BG Officer and a LOA recently, and Im ectastic! I still need a nomination however, and that worries me. I was very certain I wouldnt get accepted, missed the deadlines for my two senators, and the deadline for my congresswoman just passed. I emailed her however, and theyre sending me an application. Im also in an AJROTC Honor Unit w/Distinction and I think I can get a nomination from them, but my Instructor and I are not sure. He doesnt know what to do either, but if I cant get my MOC nomination, can I get the JROTC one? Im still a bit worried, but I think I got the hardest part down.

I believe you can get a nomination from your AJROTC unit. Contact the admissions at USNA and they can give you excellent guidance.
Congratulations!

yep, i applied for USAFA and got an AJROTC nom b/c we were HUD. doesnt matter what service it is :) i didnt even have to fill anythin out for it, it just showed up one day.. dunno if that's the case for everyone though

Hey Lizandro,

I applied for the USNA class of 2012 last year and received 3 nominations to USNA. One of them was from my NJROTC unit (distinguished unit, with honors... similar to yours I suppose). Your instructor should probably call up you Naval Academy Regional Director. I'm pretty sure thats how we did it last year. Good luck and hopefully I'll see you with the class of 2013! (I'm at NAPS right now).
