Nominationsss

ahhh- and some with higher ones too. You never know unless you try. And try. And try again.

Candidate numbers are assigned once you are deemed a "qualified" applicant. If SAT scores, etc. are not within the specified range, no matter how many pieces of mail you exchange with USNA, you will not be assigned a Candidate number.

When applying for nominations, it says to open a candidate file with the Academy. Is this the same thing as the preliminary application/summer seminar application?

1milew..
the short answer is
yes

Jakes was only 1250 - 650math 600 cr and he got in. So obviously there are other things they take into acct. I think that he took Calc. 251/252 during Junior Summer time at the community college helped+ "A" in both.

My highest score was 1260- 600m and 660v- and I got in in Nov. They must take many many things into account.

i get my SAT scores tomarrow online

I only got in with a 1210 (660m, 550v). I got a Principal Nomination from my Congressman. I'm a neebie on here and I'm from Rhode Island. Congrats to all who received admission. I hope to talk to more alums, new plebes, and parents on here.

Colby how are you getting you SAT scores on the 16th? I thought they changed them to the 24th?

Oh and guys I hear from oglethorpe Joint Enrollment soon! Yay

yea, i saw on the 16th that they were changed, lol

What kind of ACT scores does the Academy look for?

Well, before reading this thread I would have said with confidence 28's or better. But, depending on your SATs and the rest of your app. those can be lower. I got a 28 in math and a 33 in reading. So, I guess, just do your best until you're happy.
