Besides Berklee's summer programs (which are terrific), are there any other summer programs for musicians (particularly guitar players) that are not orchestra/classical music oriented? Has anyone ever heard of or attended National Guitar Workshops? What about the summer music camp at the College of Santa Fe? Other college-based programs for any other styles of music?

thanks in advance!

The summer camp of "Roberto Ocasio's Latin Jazz Project and Tropical Jam Orchestra" - "a musical mixture of funk, fusion, salsa, mambo and rhythm & blues"
Here's the brochure from last year:

They have been having this program every year, although I don't see a flyer for this year out yet. It is a short program - they may well still be making plans for 2008.

The 2008 information is available now.

As an aside, the camp is being held at Baldwin Wallace, which has a good musical theater program. If you are interested in both jazz and musical theater, this gives you a chance to scope out Baldwin Wallace and see if it is a college you would consider.
