Hi I was wondering what some good non-ivy men's rowing programs are and how competitive they are for rectruits. As a borderline heavyweight/lightweight, I was wondering what 2k erg times are good for the best non-ivies

I am 6’2.5" and around 168 lb. I just started rowing this past spring, so my one and only 2k was 6:48 in mid may.

There are many threads on this topic if you want to take a look.

That doesn’t sound very borderline to me. Especially with your height you need to think long and hard about whether you can manage 160 for 4 years of college and the rest of highschool. That being said, our fastest lightweights pull 6:30-6:36 at weight and our fastest heavies 6:16-6:25. By non-ivies are you still referring to programs like UW and Cal? If you really want to know you can email the coach and hope they reply.

This database can be a great place to start looking at colleges as you’re able to week out colleges by criteria that are most relevant to you.
