So I got my rooming stuff the other day. One of my roommates is a smoker (I'm not sure about the other). I specifically requested to be with a NON-smoker. Will Reslife make any effort to move me (or him)?
Thanks

it really shouldnt matter, like it wont effect you in anyway...

and did the roommate assignments come out already?

Yes, they did come out already in the mail.

"it really shouldnt matter, like it wont effect you in anyway..."
...except for the fact that my room and all of my belongings will reek of cigarette stench.

yeah I would definitely contact reslife and see what they can do...that's not very acceptable rooming with a smoker if that bothers you.

well i dont see what the problem is. if he smokes in the room it's bad. if he brings a terrible odor of cigarettes into the room its bad. but if he smokes outside the room and the only person he's hurting is himself, i think you'll be OK. try talking to your roommate first. you never know!

In freshman dorms there ar esmoke detectors in the room.

you cannot smoke without setting off the alarm (unless you're really careful) and not only will you **** off your roomie, you'll **** off the building and get in trouble with reslife.

Again, as freshamn yo ucannot smoke in the building. It's a fire hazard too according to the fire martial ;)

I recommended purchasing a CrispAir Light bulb. I helps to get rid of cigarette smoke, odors and bacteria. You can buy it at Amazon.com.
