I am at a non-traget school (UW-Madison) and I was wondering how hard it would be to get a BB internship in sales and trading? What are the chances of getting an internship by applying for it on their website as opposed to those who can apply for it during a career fair at their target college?

I'm not sure what kind of information you're after. I think you already know that it's competitive. Even for OCR resume submissions at target colleges its competitive.

Just try your best but be realistic in terms of your GPA, etc. Get the best work you can and after two years attend a top20 business school. From there, you'll be in a much better position to enter sales and trading.

I thought traders don't really need there MBA.

Well it depends, sales people often have MBAs because they need a broad view and knowledge of the different products. Many traders also still have MBAs in certain product groups, usually the nonquant instruments such as high yield and emerging markets.

what's your major and gpa?

Finance, Investment, and Banking. 3.85
