They ask you to submit personal financial information like tax returns, W2.
How did everyone’s interviews go? I think mine went pretty well so I’m excited!
That’s good to hear! Hopefully, we both get in
I didn’t have mine yet, but I think my chances are slim anyway
I think I would disagree about your chances. I feel like if you already made it to tbe interview, you made it past the main application round and the interview is just to see if you’re a good fit or not. (Unlike college interviews).
Hey guys, OP here I can’t say for sure whether the noonan scholars on this post are authentic (although I don’t see why they would lie about a program like this), and I am NOT a bot or anything either lmao. I also got an interview! I had it last Saturday; there were a few rough spots but over all it went well. I’ll keep you guys updated! I think scs noonan should have more info about it on cc, so please keep this thread going. Also, my interviewer said about 400 students are chosen for the interview round and there are only about 100 spots for the program, so I wouldn’t take the interview too lightly (just an fyi).
@Chexxx Wow… You just stressed me out.
@collegekid1337 I’m so sorry, that wasn’t my intention! I’m sure you did fine though
hello! first time using cc, for those of you who were interviewed, how long was your interview?
It was about an hour long – give or take 15 minutes
mine ended up being half of that, it’s over for me bois
Mine was around 20 minutes too, but my interviewer assured me that it’s only going to take that long, so don’t worry too much!
I had my unexpected interview last week (she had to reschedule). I think it went well, it took a little over an hour and at the end she said I was funny and had a good personality. Today I also got notified to be a semifinalist for LEDA…(fingers crossed).
@OhioMom3000 I did a search of both Noonan and it’s predecessor, South Central Scholars Foundation. They seem to be legit, or at least there have been no complaints about it being a fraud or a scam. Their tax returns are available to the public as required for a non-profit, they are registered as they should be, and at least SCS has been around since 2001.
So I don’t know how well it functions or whether it’s worthwhile to apply, but it is a legit non-profit scholarship organization. It’s fairly small though - their worth is barely $2 million. So the amounts are likely to be fairly small, or the number of awardees will be small.
can someone message me the g.m chat?
Has anyone received an email yet?
I haven’t heard back yet, but I sent my interviewer a few more questions.
Did your interviewer respond? Also, what are the names of your interviewers?
Nope not yet, he’ll probably get back to me in a few days. My interviewer was Stephen Shane, what about you?
I had Randy Winston. I think he said that decisions should be out by March 22.
Hello, today is the day in which we find out if we made it or not. I haven’t gotten an email yet and im so nervous!! Have you found out yet?
