<p>i’ve been wondering the same thing - about how finalists are selected. i guess no one knows. from past threads, it seems like mid-july for finalist notifications, by phone</p>
<p>i think from past threads, theress about 15 finalists per region, and there are quite a few regions. so maybe ~200 ?</p>
<p>I’m not sure on the numbers, but I believe that all we have to do for now is make sure our recommenders submit the transcript and recommendation by June 1st. After that, some time in mid-July to August, Finalists are notified by phone and asked to schedule an interview. Final decisions are made and winners are announced some time in Fall 2012.</p>

i am thankful and greatful he is such a great guy if not i would have been hopeing for months and lost a amazimg oppertunity. when do you think they will knowtify us of finalists and winners?</p>
<p>Judging from past threads, I would guess that finalists will be announced anywhere from late July (possibly as early as July 19th) to early August (as late as August 16th). Winners will be announced in late September to early October. </p>

<p>i called in and the women said the next notification was in october when we win. she said that we don’t get a finalist notification… hopefully that’s not true :(</p>

<p>I haven’t been notified yet and I’m in the Washington/Alaska region. I haven’t heard anything about when they will notify finalists this year, but judging by winners from previous years, isn’t it usually late July to mid August that they start notifying finalists?</p>
