Normal to have so much freaking us history?

Our schools is OBSESSED with US history.

In freshmen year, we have to take world history.

In sophomore year, we have to take US History 1 which goes to the new deal

In junior year (now), we have to take US History 2 which covers until today's time.

In senior year, the only AP available is APUSH, plus some sociology class or some B.S. for the slackers.

Is everyone else required to take 2 years of cp or honors us history before APUSH because this seems a bit much.

No.

We do World, Euro, US, Electives.

All of those can either be AP, Honors, or Regular.

in my school we take us history in 9th modern world history/economics in 10th and gov or ap gov in 11th. You also need an elective

We have World History, US History 1, US History 2 AP, and AP US Gov/electives. World and US 1 can be in honors, and the elctives are sociology and anthropology.

Freshman year: no history class (geography takes its place)
Sophomore year: World Civilization / AP Euro Hist
Junior year: US Hist / AP USH
Senior year: AP Micro / AP Gov't.

So no, my school doesn't make use multiple years of US history... how boring. haha.

We have to take Civics (History of the gov't sorta thing)/Georgraphy freshman year, World sophomore year, us junior, and economics senior year. Plus we have euro but that's an elective.

9th: Ancient History
10th: Modern History (non-US)
11th: US History
12th: electives

No one takes US History before taking AP; that seems pretty excessive.

9th: Political Science
10th:World/AP World
11th: US/AP US
12th:Econ/AP Econ

We also have AP Gov, AP Euro, and AP geography as electives.

9: Global Studies, Contemporary World, Humanities World History
10: US History (AP, H, CP, Humanities)
11: elective
12: American Government and one semester elective

9: World History
10: US History 1
11: AP US History
12: AP Euro or Gov

9th: WA State/Pac Rim History
10th: Optional AP Euro
11th: US History (Regular or AP)
12th: Senior Issues (basically, US gov)

Civics (7th grade)
Geography (taken in 8th, counts as hs credit)
World History (9th)
AP US if you're motivated, otherwise no history (worst class EVAR) - 10th
US history or ap us history, take your pick, unless you took a class in 10th grade - 11th
Govt or AP Govt, choice is yours -12th

Elective: World Civilization.

History sucks, im way more of a science person. sorry don't mean to offend any possible history majors here. I'm just one of those people that don't have 10 GB memories to fill with historical facts.

And you know the best part....I get the same teacher for ALL 3 years of US history because there is one teacher for all us 1. then that teacher also teaches 1/2 the us 2s and the ap teacher teaches the other 1/2 us 2s this year. I got the us 1 teacher for us 2, but the ap teacher is retiring next year, so I get this teacher for AP.. w00t. Shes cool, but she gives a lot of busy work. At least I get As
