Just out of curiousity, how many schools break it up into two years?

For my school, its split up into two, usually taken sophmore and junior year, with world history freshmen year. But iv'e seen some people comment on finishing the entire text book in only one year, and i remember one post a few months back saying he/she took the course in only one semester!

Personally, I think I'd like it better as one year, only so I'd be free to take other history courses throughout high school. Thoughts?

We do it the exact same way. Acc. World History freshman year, then Acc. US History and AP US History sophomore and junior years respectively (I just finished APUSH). Unfortunately for next year’s class, they’re changing over to a one-year integrated APUSH course with Acc. US freshman year as an extension of the 8th grade US History curriculum and Acc. World sophomore year (one-year APUSH would still be taken as a junior).

One year here, and taking a history sophomore year is optional. It’s not too bad getting through a big chunk of the material, but my teacher didn’t finish (got up to Nixon). I easily self studied the rest.

APUSH is two years here (sophomore and junior year). Sophomore is counted as Honors while junior is counted as AP even though its the same curriculum and textbook.

We have freshman: world history, sophomore: civics and economics, and the US history as a jr. and it’s a semester course (unless AP then it’s every other day all year)

As a freshmen and sophomore, you have to take US History and World History, respectively. As a junior, you can take APUSH or US gov. As a senior, you take psych. Next year I’m taking both psych and US gov. because I cannot take any other classes that period.
