What's exactly wrong with North Campus and Northwood Apartments or Houses? Every time I've visited the campus, I was on North Campus and I loved it. I ended up getting placed in Northwood Houses and I'm excited but I've seen so many people say, "At least it's not North Campus". I'm confused. Help?

1) People don’t like having to ride the bus to most of their classes.
2) Central campus is closer to “town” --restaurants, movies, shops, etc.

Most people who end up on North Campus end up loving it. My friend’s son signed back up for North Campus 2 years in a row. He likes the relative peace and quiet and the fact that he can see deer and other wildlife up there. The U is trying hard to get more action going on North Campus so that it won’t be considered such a cultural wasteland, but with limited success, as far as I can see.

To add onto poster #2: Northwood really does suck compared to Bursley/Baits. Northwood are apartments while Bursley/Baits are dorms. There is a big contrast between the culture of north campus and central as well. North campus is more outdoorsy, it’s the type of place you’d want to live if you just want to go on a walk outside, or feel relaxed. Central campus is a bustling college town (Ann Arbor’s population is ~125,000 people) where you’ll have a lot of social interaction. Also, keep in mind that if your college is on north campus (all the fine arts, architecture, and of course engineering) then your first two years your courses will be split between the two campuses. And your final 2-3 years will be nearly exclusively on north campus.
