Ah! Sorry! I totally forgot it was a 3 monologue audition, sorry about that!

Yes it’s 2 contemporary contrasting monologues, one classic, and one song.

Hope that helps!

Thank you…you were right, they put my daughter at ease and whatever the outcome, she had a very positive experience.

I know in the past UNCSA sent out LIKELY letters/emails to students they were interested in AFTER auditions. The letters just said they hoped the student was still interested and offered to connect them with current students, faculty, and/or alums. Has anyone gotten such a letter THIS YEAR? Just curious whether this is still happening. . .

If they are doing that, my D did not get a letter.

Same here. I wouldn’t read too much into it either way. They seem to have their own way of doing things over there. Here’s to hoping we find out soon! =)

2 years ago when I was accepted I never received a letter like that. So yeah, good call not reading into it. Best of luck to all.

My Son had a good friend get a rejection letter from UNCSA last night so some sort of mailing must have taken place recently.

Yup. Just got my rejection in the mail today :(. The letter did encourage me to apply next year, so we’ll see. Still waiting on Fordham and Rutgers, fingers are crossed.

Can you offer any other insights into Purchase? We are looking at it for 2012…would love any feeling you might have

Hello!
I’m currently an applicant for their drama program, and I was wondering if anyone has been accepted yet? I know they’ve sent out rejection letters thus far, but I haven’t received one and I live fairly close to the school. Any suggestions or advice?

3 years ago my S applied to NCSA, and I followed the accepts/rejects on CC closely. It seemed as though no one could figure out a pattern to the way the letters were sent out from this school. As I recall, letters were received throughout the whole month of March by CC members–rejections, acceptances, waitlists. My S, who was waitlisted, received his letter on one of the last days of the month. So far this year, the only mention of letters from NCSA that I have seen has been regarding rejections.

Good luck agthea! This year, my D waits along with you. And it is the only school that apparently doesn’t have a way to track application status on-line!

Thank you for clarifying! I guess I’ll just have to keep waiting, but good luck to your D! Hope everything goes well.

I am geektheatre’s S. Still wondering if anybody has heard anything positive?

Why did you want to leave Purchase? My son is considering both schools.

niceguy19 reported an acceptance to UNCSA!

Yeah, I was sent an email from Bill Poole on Wednesday! He said that the letter should be coming in the mail next week sometime. I am soooooooooooo excited you don’t even know.

Are you in State or out?

I just talked to Bill. He said they have started going out in stages and will take a couple of weeks. Break a leg to everyone!!

Sorry to crash the theater major party, but I auditioned for the high school voice program at NCSA the last weekend in February, and was accepted pending studio space. Does anyone know what this generally means as far as an admissions decision goes, and/or when I would be notified?

Hi Everyone! I received my acceptance letter from NC school of the arts this past Saturday and sent in my first deposit Monday afternoon! Extremely excited!!
