North Carolina State University Decisions(Fall 2017) Class of 2021

i hope its today…i am so over the waiting and i am a parent…it is to much stress for a Senior…when they should be enjoying this time.

S applied early so he wouldn’t have to wait. Nope. Deferred.

Same here. Got deferred back in January… On twitter, nc state makes it sound like they have already sent out letters. I wish they would just say what day they are going to release decisions.

My daughter the same applied early. She was deferred. As a parent, I am stressed for her. These kids really are dragged through a long process.

Same thing with my daughter…applied EA got deferred for COE…now waiting…impatiently…

I am another mom with a deferred child for COE. So stressful in my household right now.

Since the admissions office closes at 5pm, I would assume to expect decisions to be released early next week.

The irony she was accepted today to WPI and Drexel…she didn’t even flinch. NCSU is her first choice.

My daughters 1st choice is also NCSU…she has been accepted to several other schools that would actually be better for her, but she went to aerospace camp and leadership camp at NCSU and that is where she wants to be. The crazy thing is there a kids from her school that are not half the student that she is and they got accepted…makes no sense.

@inpatientmomnc I hear you. I hope we hear soon. I imagine since we have not heard it will be next week.

I was deferred EA. It’s been 6 months since I initially applied, so I’m glad this wait will soon come to an end.

Good luck to everyone…hope you have a good weekend and try not to stress.

Can someone chance me?

I have not had the chance to become a leader in any of my clubs.
I have gotten some B’s in a few of my math and science classes

I have also had ALOT of family problems and when I applied using the common app, I talked about them in my personal essay. I also talked about how I feel NC State would be the perfect place to start somewhere new.

Your gpa is a little bit low for engineering; but, I think your course load and extra curricular activities may help. Overall, I would say that as long as you did well in your computer science, physics, and calculus class, I think they will be willing to overlook your gpa. If you sent in your senior grades and did well, that could also have helped you. Hopefully, they looked at all of their candidates strengths and not just their numbers or test scores. Best of luck @virgokid99. Let’s all hope for a Monday release!

Same here, anyone have any ideas of what my chances are?

@daisyflower Is just my weighted GPA that’s low or my overall GPA? I’ve recently learned that my UW GPA is around 3.78-3.8. Is that still considered low?

Just your weighted gpa. As far as I know, 3.78 to 3.8 is pretty good unweighted gpa.

I’m hoping for a decision early this week, but even if it’s Thursday, this wait will soon come to an end. Good luck to all those who were deferred like me and the other RD applicants.

Also impatiently waiting for Thursday,.
