North East Computer Science Schools

Hi there,

I am looking to major in CS and I was wondering if I could find a few schools you think might be a good fit for me. I am very geeky but also very social and get along with people generally well. I would prefer a smaller school (just because I would like to stay away from lecture halls) but I am also open to your opinions on bigger schools. I am very interested in studying abroad and internships so that would be important. My GPA is around a 92, SATs are an 1810, and ACTs are a 27. I know I am not the best student but I am also extremely involved outside of school. I do dance, horse back riding, student council, PTO with select students, Tech Future plan committee, NHS, and STEM Scholars. I babysit and assist dance classes. I host German exchange students and travelled to Germany last summer. I received the Xerox award for Information Technology, an AP Scholar Award, and the John and Abigail Adams Scholarship.

Here is the list of my schools so far, but I am open to anyone’s opinion. I know some are a far reach but I’ll never know the outcome unless I try!
Brown (Early Decision - Already applied)
Carnegie Mellon
RPI
RIT (I’d appreciate info on how big the school feels on campus)
Stonehill (EA- Applied)
SUNY Stonybrook
U Rochester
U Vermont (EA- Applied)
Villanova (EA- Applied)

I would appreciate any input!
Thanks!!

Union.

Union’s good.

Marist has a good reputation. It benefits from a close relationship with IBM.
