Computer Science Schools in my League?

<p>Hey, I'm almost sure I want to major in CS in college. The problem is that I don't know many colleges outside my area (NYC). I'm def. gonna apply to NYU, FU, and maybe Manhattan, but I need more options.</p>

<p>I know schools like Cornell and Carnegie Mellon are great, but they're a bit out of my league.</p>

<p>Right now I'm a Junior</p>

<p>Here's a profile of me:
- GPA: 3.75 (unweighted)
- SAT: 570 R, 600 M, 620 W (only taken once, expected to improve)
- Cross Country / Track (all three seasons) PS: I'm really bad at it but do it to stay healthy and in shape.
- 15 hours service this year
- At least 75 next.
- Going on Mexico service trip in June
- AP Span Lang + AP US (this year)
- AP Span Lit + AP CS (next year)
- Take Java Programming this year.
- Speak 3 languages
....- English
....- Portuguese (fluently)
....- Spanish (good enough to have conversations but with grammatical errors - im working on it!)
- Dual Citizen - Brazil + USA. My mom is brazilian so I'm a citizen too. I've spent all my summers there (2+ months at a time).
- Applied for NHS (will prob. get accepted).</p>

<p>Anyways, I think that covers everything.</p>

<p>I'm looking for schools on the east coast that have a good reputation in CS. Any ideas? Thanks!!</p>

<p>WPI, RIT, RPI immediately come to mind.</p>

<p>NYU-poly?</p>

<p>…</p>

<p>CUNYs have CS as a major.</p>
