Hello. I’m a food science major looking for dorms at Cal Poly. I recently stayed overnight with a friend at North Mountains and I really liked it, more than Red Bricks or Sierra Madre/Yosemite. How many of the students there are generally non-engineering? And what’s the social life like at the North mountains?

bummpp???

The person I know who lives there is an engineer and so is his roommate. There is a nice girl on the Facebook group who lives there and she is not an engineering major.

I have heard that they are friendly dorms, but not as social as the others. They can go hang out in the South Mountain common room.

What is the Facebook page name please?

My son will be a freshman at North Mountain (lassen). He’s a chem (changing to bio-chem) major and his two roommates are engineering majors.

My friend’s roommate was a nonengineering major too. I still see people hanging out on the lawns in North Mountain and they do have different activities going on. In terms of the facebook page, I have heard that there is a group for each North Mountain dorm. I’m not a part of the group so I don’t know what the link is. On Facebook, I would probably just search North Mountain and then the name of the specific dorm.
