a while back, northwestern web address was actually www.nwu.edu.

That's true. NU it is then.

els: yeah, I prefer to have access to weights.

Yes, it was nwu.edu in the very early days of the Internet, when people were still figuring out how to name sites. Nonetheless, no one calls it NW or NWU at all. Word to the wise, Sachmoney :-). Did you get in? Are you coming?

I still haven't applied yet (for transfer). The deadline is May 1st. Alas, I love Northwestern, and right now I think I can safely say it's my number one school (Although my parents would probably prefer I go to at least one other school I am applying to over NU there). I really wish I'd applied early back in the day, but I never got to visit, and I didn't apply to any school I didn't visit.

Thanks Sam.

how Ketty got her panties all up in a bunch

lol thanks for that incisive, not-at-all-hypocritical commentary

No problem.

I like how you insulted Ketty for not contributing anything useful... 'cause your post was so insightful and all.

clue me in?

To: jpaz7745

Eh. I admit it. My post was rash, kind of meaningless (now that I look back on it), and honestly didn't contribute much. I think I was angry at the time and unjustly transferred it to the OP.

My apologies to the OP.

But to be fair, I honestly didn't know what was meant by North vs. South (especially since I had previously read about a thread discussing people in the geographical regions, North and South) and actually wasn't even aware of the division of the campus (and I'm sure I'm not alone on this...). But now I understand.

But you, jpaz7745, on the other hand, completely derailed a thread (which HAD actually been discussing the pertinent topic) for completely petty reasons.

GREAT JOB!

Aren't you clever?

"...then doesn't even answer the question once the OP does clear it up. What a d-bag."

so where was your answer, jpaz?

Are you serious? This is ridiculous. I checked back on this post because I thought some new insight had been made. If you must squabble, please do it elsewhere. That's what PMs are for.

Sorry. I just got excited when I saw new pages.

Regarding athletic facilities, there is a gym on South campus called Blomquist. IT doesn't have the weights that Patten or SPAC has, but it's enough if you don't need too much weight and you know what you're doing. It's mostly sorority girls that work out (aka run on treadmills and ellipticals) there so you can pretty much use whatever weight machines you want whenever. There's a smith machine, bunch of cybexs, but free weights only up to 50 lbs. When it gets warmer, though, I try to go lift at Patten

Sorority girls eh?

Yeah, I'd probably get bored with the equipment at Blomquist pretty quickly.
