North vs. South

^I’d rather eat real food, thanks. :)

Yeah, those things only come out at Thanksgiving and Christmas. Thank God.

Who the hell looked at a pig’s foot and thought “Yum, that’s what I want for dinner.” and started people eating that?

Don’t get me started on his mothe’s “hog’s head soup” or whatever that crap was.

o.0

I live in Maryland, which is technically in the South, but we aren’t Southern at all…

^^ Slaves ate all of that back in the day. Pigs have a significant role in that respect.

Explain, please? You’re still below the Mason-Dixon, my friend.

^^ what about suckling child?

^Ugh, an edumacated allusion.

Northern scenery > southern scenery.

Well, to be technical, the highest concentration of scenic awesomeness is on a band that stretches from central Colorado to Lake Tahoe, and then from Lake Tahoe all the way up the Pacific coast (I dream of going to Olympic National Park some day) to Denali National Park. So, I’d say it’s more about West/Northwest vs. East/Southeast.

Southern culture > northern culture, at any rate if it implies that “Laid back” > “Hustle & bustle”.

Yes, Maryland is geographically “Southern,” but in my eyes (and of many others), the culture is extremely different from the Southern states’.

A lot of people (though it’s heavily debated) consider Maryland to be Mid-Atlantic.

Nonetheless, I think everyone can agree that both the north and south are better than the Midwest.

^Ridiculous. [List of United States cities by population - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia](List of United States cities by population - Wikipedia)

^^The Midwest isn’t that bad. Well, I live in the Chicago area which is pretty different from the rest of the Midwest. We don’t have too many cornfields around here. Lol.

^I always think of Oklahoma and cows. :(

and for additional Wikipedia-is-t3h-God-ness

^Haha, yea those parts are pretty lame.

the south, baby. my whole family lives in alabama and mississippi and i’m from louisiana

Well I live in the north but that south is definitely respectable in my opinion. I’ve always dreamed of living there someday.

The Dirty South. Being able to wear shorts and flip-flops all year long beats snow any day. I personally don’t mind the 95 degree with 110% humidity days in TX.

Ugh I despise the South. I can’t wait to go to college so that I can finally get out of it.

^what do you dislike about it? just curious.
