Do Northeastern graduates have success getting into good grad schools?

I have the same question, especially for the engineering school.

When thinking about whether NEU is a good school to go to if you want to get in to a good grad school you should keep in mind that the school's primary emphasis is its outstanding co-op program which is designed to prepare students to enter the job market upon graduation. After some hunting I did find data concerning students who go on to grad school. Not surprisingly only about 16% of the 2005 graduates plan to go on to grad school; a list of the schools they plan to attend is included in the survey results which can be found at the following link:

The other thing to keep in mind is that NEU has been dramatically increasing its academic rankings only during the past decade, and there is a very different student body than what existed a decade ago. Therefore historical data with respect to students going on to grad school would need to be looked at with this in mind and are not a good indicator of what direction future graduates will follow, or how this school will be viewed by grad schools. Also grades, GRE scores, research experiences, and basically what you do as an undergrad are often more important than the undergrad school.

To add to what scansmom said, most graduates don't want to go to grad school. We coop for three semesters and hopefully develop good relationships with those employers that lead to job offers at graduation.
