Northeastern Official Financial Aid Award

Hi guys. I was accepted to Northeastern through early action and received my provisional financial aid award. When should I expect to get the OFFICIAL financial aid award. I really want to enroll but can’t until the numbers are locked in. Thanks

Ask them, how do we know? Is all your final paperwork in, the FAFSA and taxes done? If nothing is different then the provisional is same as the final. But no rush your place will be held. Or are you trying to put your housing deposit down? Ask them.

Are your 2014 taxes completed and submitted? Has your FAFSA been amended to reflect the 2014 tax numbers. Did you link to the IRS Data Retrieval Tool? If you already completed the Profile, have you contacted NEU to find out how they want that updated to reflect the accurate 2014 tax return information…and have you done this?

Until all of that is complete, your financial aid package will not be a final one.

Was there a difference in incime between 2013 and 2014?

Your numbers will be close to final if you gave good estimates on the FAFSA/CSS Profile.

The numbers will updated based on importing your tax info into FAFSA, and submitting your tax returns, and filling out some random forms such as household size form, verification forms, sibling enrollment forms, non-tax filer forms, etc…

If all the information agrees with your original estimates, you are good. From my experience, no college changed anything in financial aid that did not make sense with the updated information I gave them.
