Northeastern Transfer Chances

Hi!

I’m hoping to transfer into Northeastern’s CCIS school as a Comp Sci major for fall 2016; I am currently a first-year student and will have 31 hours after this semester. I’m a bit worried about my chances of getting in.

High school:
Ranking: N/A, school did not rank
GPA: 4.23 Weighted, 3.91 Unweighted
SAT: 2070
Extra-curriculars: Part-time job for two years, one year internship with local District Attorney’s Office

College:
Current school is in the top 100 nationally
First semester GPA: 3.46 with 16 hours, had trouble transitioning
Second semester mid-term: Currently have a 4.0 at 15 hours
Extra-curriculars: LGBT club, first-year scholar program, some sort of small student government (hard to explain, but like a council), volunteer organization

So, chances?

I’d say your chances are decent! Keep the second semester GPA up, it illustrates that you just needed some time to adjust.

I transferred into Northeastern with a 3.7 for reference-you’re not far off.
