Thanks! I went to look at my portal to see if they received my mid term grades and it wouldn’t let me log in and about a half hour later it was up, then today I got an email saying it was available. So the decision is posted before you get the email. Good luck!

I really appreciate your honesty guys

cheers!!!

I’ve been checking mine quite a few times a day too, but to no avail.

I submitted my Common App on Feb 21, and all applications were received by March 15th, which is the priority deadline. Still haven’t heard anything back yet though. I think I might call their admissions office later today.

Congrats to everyone who got in. Anyone else who applied to the college of Earth & Environmental Sciences?

Hi I am sophomore and I applied to NEU to the CBA. My current GPA is 3.00. Its low because as I explained in the common app i suffered a major pelvic fracture during my freshman year thats why I got 2.58 freshman spring spring. This fall semester 2011 i got 3.77 and my midterm report for spring 2012 has a 3.8. I hope they understand the injury i had and how it affected my gpa. I have legacy since my older brother graduated from NEU in 2008. I have really good recommendation letters and essay a lot of clubs and activities and I won’t be applying for financial aid since I am an international student. Do you guys think I have any chance of getting in?. Thanks

By the way, Earth and Environmental Sciences is a department, not a college. It’s in the College of Sciences.

See thissssss
NEU received all my documents but the 21 of march and still no word…

Can somebody give me some help?

This is the second time I’m transferring… My first college GPA was 2.4 and my current is 3.6

I really appreciate your honesty guys

cheers!!!

Bye! good luck !

Hey Guys,

I wanted to see if anyone would be able to tell my chances for transferring to Northeastern.

I currently go to Middlesex C.C. My first semester GPA from this previous fall was a 3.3. This current Spring semester 2012, I have a 3.5. I just sent out my midterm grades and my app was complete 3/30. After this current semester I will have completed 42 credits. During the NEU app process, the web portal said I was still missing H.S. transcripts and SAT scores. I sent them in anyway because I wasn’t completely sure about the 24 credit cut off point. Is it worth calling admissions and asking them to take away H.S. grades and SAT’s? Does it not hurt my chances to just leave them in the app? I’m in the Commonwealth Honors Program in M.A. I have a decent amount of community service. Played sports through out H.S. and have held the same job 4 consecutive years. Other than my fairly avg GPA, my professor that wrote my recommendation said I was one of his best students and said it was a strong rec. I applied though the comm-app, so I did not get to write about what I really like about NEU and why I would be a good fit. I used the “Why transfer” writing prompt. I felt I touched on a lot of benefits to transferring to a 4-year college. I applied to the college of social sciences & humanities for eco. I made sure NEU knew that If I wanted to go to their Law School after my undergrad.

I’m new to college confidential so forgive me for writing to much!

And also not all of my 42 credits are transferable to NEU. I was not sure if Northeastern considers the 24 credit cut off only courses that are transferable to them or not.

nctrani713, I’d say it cant hurt to email admissions and ask them, I know my counselor was extremely helpful when I had a few questions in the application process!

Does anyone know when we find out our decisions? Or does it just depend on when we finished our application? And…does anyone know what the “in course progress coursework” requirement is on the application?? Same as midterm report? I emailed them, but I haven’t gotten a response!

“In progress coursework” is a list of courses you are taking now. I just gave them my courses’ names and credits. I heard that they will send you an email when the decision is released… but I am still waiting…

as am i Sherryyo.
