I got in!!
Congrats to all of you who got in!! Happy for you but still a little sad I’ve heard nothing!
Good luck to all of you still waiting, I know from firsthand experience how annoying and stressful the wait is, but stay positive as I thought there was no possible way I would get in after the amount of time that has passed. But clearly they are still admitting students so keep your heads held high!
Fingers still crossed for everyone who hasn’t heard yet! I really hope everyone gets in. just remember, they accepted kids last year right at the deadline (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/northeastern-university/1602702-northeastern-fall-2014-transfers-p46.html)
thing is with every acceptance sent out there is less and less room left.
I don’t understand. I graduated with a 3.4 in English from Ithaca College. With a hell of a background in my applied program to northeastern. Told to apply as a transfer. I’ve visited northeastern several times, have been in touch with the head of the dept for over a year, and I’ve sat in on classes. What the actual f. WHY HAVENT I HEARD.
Congrats to everyone with good news! I still haven’t heard anything…getting nervous now
@afree4 You have a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and you applied to Northeastern as a transfer???
@TomSrOfBoston it’s how I was told to apply. I sat down and met with an admissions counselor a year ago
Congrats to everyone… And pardon my next comment… What the f#ck… I have. 3.9. With lots of tough classes. I dont understand. Why haven’t I heard yet. If I am rejected, just get it over with… ok sorry rant over. Just came back from traveling overseas for 3wks, assumed I would have had an answer by now
I cannot help but feel a little bitter about this whole thing. If no one here has gotten a denial yet, that means they’re probably waiting until the 15th to send them out to all the rejects. I think it’s cruel to make us wait that long, especially since they’ve probably had our rejections ready for a while. I understand they might be holding out on the “maybes” to see if there’s a spot for them, but to those who are flat-out denied from the get-go…just tell us! It’s a lot of energy waiting and getting anxious all for nothing. I would even accept an email that’s like “hey, youre on the maybe list right now and we’re just seeing if we have a spot for you.” something. Anything! Ah! (Rant over)
Denied students are less likely to admit that here on CC.
Yeah…it would just be really helpful if they did…I will if I hear anything before the 15th
I feel like a couple people said they were denied way back but I feel the same. I’ll let anyone know my status when I hear.
This is ridiculoussssssss. That being said I didn’t plan on being accepted. I applied early hoping maybe I would get lucky or something and that maybe I’d get an early decision (acceptance or denial). I’m guessing they are leaving all the rejections for last…which is cruel and unusual punishment. Especially for a lot of you who really want to go there. Like I said, I didn’t plan on getting accepted. I had a 3.1 with 30 credits from Auburn University and 16 from the Ohio State University and I applied as a Natural Science major. Mostly applied for shits and gigs but I mean if by some miracle I get accepted…I’d sure like to attend. At this point though lord knows even if we do get accepted we will get the least financial aid and the absolute worst pick of classes. I’ll be sure to let you all know of my decision, but yeah, this is kinda annoying.
I’m going Monday morning so I’ll report back to you guys.
Trying to decide how much of my annoyance to convey, or kill 'em with kindness.
Still waiting, patiently. But, I might be on the Maybe list and I would be chosen over students who decided not-to-go or didn’t pay the deposit.
@Almutairi that’s what I’m seriously hoping for myself as well
Can we even pick classes yet? I thought we had to wait until orientation
Oh, I’m not sure… At some schools you get to schedule when you want your orientation but at Northeastern maybe it is just one orientation for all transfer students.
