I'm debating between the University of Miami and Northeastern University. I have been accepted to both and finances are not an issue.

I really just want to pick the best university for a pre-med/Biology major. Also, I've heard that northeastern has an unhelpful administration and that there isn't a great "community feel". Is this true, and can you expand on this?

Which university do you feel is better for a pre-med?

Owing to UMiami’s PRISM program, I believe it would be a better fit for Pre-Med.

I think miami is stronger in the sciences and you may have more research opportunities.

also…the weather.

I do not qualify for that prism program unfortunately.

One dilemma is that i’ve lived in miami, Florida my entire life and I’ve always looked forward to moving to a different city. However, if Miami is substantially better with opportunities and such, then this dilemma would be insignificant in my decision.

I just thought NEU might be better because of co-op and being in walking distance of the best hospitals in the country? But you are saying that academically UM is stronger?

Thank you for the replies!
