The locations are first come, first served, but the guarantee is that there will be a location for your major, so if your major is only in one place (like Khoury and London last year), you are guaranteed to get it.
Once the locations are released, you can pay the first deposit and chose a location at the same time. That is our plan.
There is a WONDERFUL group on FB for N.U.in parents. So incredibly helpful. It’s called N.U.in Families and Alumni.
Not sure if this matters but I got to the decision via an alternate route. I went on northeastern.edu instead of the portal directly and then clicked on undergraduate admissions and made my way to application status check for fall 2023. And then the heart-wrenching letter popped up. LOL
I got into Boston campus! They need more information for my financial aid though. I should be getting 18k merit through RaiseMe. Was the merit aid listed in the decision letter? Or do I have to wait until the financial aid gets figured out?
I looked for the NUin FB page and couldn’t find it. I found one page but the last post is from 2020. I also saw an NUin Greece page. But couldn’t find the NUin FB for families.
Congratulations! We had the same issue with my son’s EDI acceptance. They asked for additional information and we got the financial package about 9 days after the acceptance. Be aware that merit aid does not stack on top of any financial aid. So, for example, if you are awarded 20k in financial aid, the 18k you see on Raise Me will be absorbed in that award.
My DD got into Boston campus under ED2.
She feels really excited . Just wonder if the admission letter does not mention any merit, does that mean there is no merit at all? Thank you.
The merit is in a separate letter in the portal. On the right hand side, we see links to three letters: Admission, Financial Aid (even though we didn’t apply and that’s what the letter says), and Merit Scholarship.
Hello, thank you for the information. Did merit aid show up after you submitted the documents? I can’t see another tab for it, so does that mean I didn’t get any?
