Rejected, my letter says they reached capacity for the fall term but idk if that’s true or not. Good luck to everyone else!
When did you get the letter? @penntousc
@Maryamlord within the last hour
Just got the decision. Rejected. Pretty much same letter as penntousc
Rejected. I got my rejection email at 2:03 pm today eastern time. It said, they have reached capacity for the fall. I applied to Computer Science major.
I had spend a lot of energy into applying for transfer, but that eventually failed. After I heard this decision, I could finally make some plannings for my next year of college.
It has not been easy waiting for a decision for about two months, wish everyone of you with or without offer could move closer toward your life goal in the future!
Is it weird I haven’t heard anything yet?
Me too!@whereto2022
I haven’t heard anything yet but its weird that they are telling people they have reached capacity when they are still gradually handing out decisions. I dunno
@dogsrcool I just declared for Boston College the other day and am looking at places in Brighton/Brookline/Allston if any of those sounded like areas you wanted to check out.
It may have just been Khoury that reached capacity so I don’t necessarily think they’re done with acceptances
Rejected for data science and biochem
When did you get the decision?@zs2019transfer
2:04 pm eastern time
@ljtx46 Allston is one of my top locations, I’m kinda on a budget I don’t know what price range you were thinking about
Probably a good sign if you don’t hear back by the may 31st deadline
Thank you for your application to Northeastern University. The Admissions Committee has completed its review of your application, and I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you for admission to the Fall 2019 semester.
Admission to Northeastern is highly competitive and with an increased number of applications, the Admissions Committee had to make fine distinctions among qualified applicants. At this time, we have reached capacity for the Fall 2019 term due to the number of applicants who have accepted our offer of admission. The next available opportunity to apply for transfer admission is for the Spring 2020 term.
If you are planning on taking courses during the upcoming semester, Northeastern has an extensive list of equivalent courses to assist with your course selection.
While I understand you may be disappointed with this decision, please know that it is a reflection of our space limitations and the competitiveness of the admission process. We sincerely appreciate your interest in Northeastern University, and we wish you the best as you work toward fulfilling your educational goals.
This was my letter, i applied to the CS program, but i wasnt waiting for them anymore, im going to Wentworth Institute of Technology, I thought northeastern would give me the most money but i got pretty good scholarships from WIT and when i graduate ill have only own 9k of federal loans and northeastern i would have to pay double per year
@dogsarecool I am going to BU if I don’t get into Northeastern so I am looking at places in the fenway area between the two schools!
This is my theory… They have had more people than expected accept their decision from the first wave and they are waiting to see how many people accept before letting in any more people. I have a feeling that if you haven’t heard by now then its just a matter of how many people end up accepting their spot at Northeastern the first round. I still haven’t heard back yet but I am hoping that that is the case and they will let more people in after the 29th.
@mimiv0511 I got accepted at Wentworth as well for Computer Networking, so that’s where I’ll be going. They are coming out with their own Cybersecurity degree as well, which is what I applied for at Northeastern, so maybe it works out for me after all and I’ll just switch my majors. Good Luck to you!
Haven’t gotten my decision yet, does that mean I’m rejected though? Given that the rejection letters say they have no more space?
