On my application portal, my high school transcript, college transcripts, and college report is still missing. But I submitted all of these items in early March. Does the portal take a long time to update?
@dsdarling17 It probably takes about 1 to 2 weeks. I would suggest you to call the admission’s office.
It could be that your portal isn’t just updated because they were still organizing stuff after the deadline. I submitted my application on April 1st and didn’t get my portal until a couple days later and when I logged in I saw that everything was still put as missing even though I knew my documents should have been received. I emailed transfer admissions and sure enough everything was good and the portal wasn’t updated. @dsdarling17
Anybody knows what happens if you don’t fill out the CSS profile for financial aid? I only filled out the FAFSA…
@royalace Then you will only be eligible for Pell grants and federal loans. You will not receive any need based grants from Northeastern.
@royalace I recommend if you have time to fill it out tonight (because today is the deadline) that you do, I previously didn’t for another one of my schools I applied to my senior year and ended up getting no aid at all (other than than the basic federal loans)… I suppose it depends on the school but I would still try to get it done if you are able to
anyone know what happens if the docs for IDOC are uploaded late???
Chances of gettin in
I have a 4.0 both on my mid-term report and last semester and I got a recommendation from my teacher who’s an alum I also receive a pell grant if that matter
has anyone heard back from northeastern??
Not yet @transferto2022
@royalace Hey, i had this same problem with BU, I submitted an appeal letter and have received $29k in financial aid after they read the appeal. You have to have a valid reason as to why you did not submit it on time. I probably would have gotten way more aid but of course submitting it late will take money away from you. Good luck
Anybody have any opinion on BU College of arts and sciences vs Northeastern’s college of science in terms of quality of education and undergrad research opportunities?
Also is it possible to request a decision in the first wave? I have to give a $650 down payment to BU on June 1st and dont want to waste money on BU if Northeastern gives me more aid. I have received $29k in loans/scholarships from BU bringing the cost to $25k which is still a scary amount of debt imo.
is northeastern known for providing a lot of financial aid?? or is the net price calculator faulty?
@zs2019transfer i would call and ask about it. maybe ask when decisions will be out?
NEU is my #1 choice!! I got into UNC which is my #2, but I have to commit by May 15th. Hopefully decisions come out before then…
The wait is KILLING ME. I’m waiting on Northeastern, USC, and NYU for all their film and media programs… I just want to hear back from them sooooooo badly!!!
The wait is killing me too, but I think its going to take till early may (maybe late April fingers crossed), because April 15 was the last day to submit all forms, FAFSA, and CSS Profile. They are also still processing people’s information (for example they still have not received my High school transcript even though my old high school sent it last week). After that they have to send the applications to be reviewed so I’m guessing it will take a couple weeks till the first wave to come out!
*comes
I recalled that NEU releases their first batch at April 20th at 2017(May 3rd at 2018), which means they could possibly release the first batch of result in the next one or two week. I am too waiting for transfer offer if any. Wish everyone get the offer they want.
