is a B+ dropping to a C+ considered a dramatic drop?
@estabrooka I mean obviously I can’t say for sure, but I’d assume as long as you’re passing everything you’d be fine? Like I’d consider a dramatic change going from all As last semester to all Cs the next but idk…
Also do we think they’ll be releasing the first round of acceptances tomorrow…? or not till at least next Friday?
@dogsrcool I don’t think the decision will be coming this month. It will probably release around mid-May. Also, do you guys know how we should submit our final transcript?
Got accepted to Boston University today, but going Northeastern all the way. For those who don’t know, I was already accepted to Northeastern last semester but deferred my enrollment to this semester. Good luck to you guys
@financeguy29 what’s the reason you’re choosing northeastern over bu?
Hopefully they come out with some decisions tomorrow.
@zs2019transfer As a finance major, my near-term future goal is to work on Wall Street, originally in investment banking but now, in investment management. Both Northeastern and BU are considered non-target schools in the world of high finance in NYC. Although, many current students and alumni have placed very well in the job market, but Northeastern offers the co-op program while BU doesn’t. At this point in my college career, by the time I graduate from Northeastern, I could have 3 amazing co-op experiences under my belt and those 18 months of work experience at target firms are much better than the probable 2, 10 week summer internships I could land coming from BU. Aside from co-op, Northeastern has a few specific extra-curricular organizations that would really compliment my major. My longer term goal is to get my MBA so the extra work experience from Northeastern would be extremely valuable. Also, my long-time girlfriend was accepted to Northeastern so it kind of works out very well haha. I hate to say this but neither of the 2 schools were on my radar originally. I wanted to go to BC more than anything (BC is a Wall Street target). My decision making thus far, has excluded financial reasons, credit transfer, housing, etc. I will tour BU and dive deeper into the program though before the enrollment deadline and make a final decision. Sorry for the extended response, can’t contain my nerdy excitement lol
Seems like it’ll be next Friday.
@financeguy29 Okay cool, it seems like you’re really excited about neu im glad that youre able to attend . I live in Boston and I heard somewhere that they do regional waves first. I didn’t get any update today.
I think some of us might hear back next Friday, at least that was the first wave of Fall 2018
@zs2019transfer Thanks! I hope you fare well in this process and that everything works out for you! Would you rather be at Northeastern or BU?
@zs2019transfer Sorry, not sure if you applied to BU or not, if you didn’t you can ignore the question haha
@financeguy29 did you apply to northeastern your freshman or sophomore year?
@hopefull7890 Sophomore year, about 65 credit hours completed
I’ve heard varying things about how NEU is with financial aid for transfers. Have any of you heard anything? I’m also applying to BU, Brandeis, and Emmanuel.
What have you heard?
I’m interested too
(Apart from the fact that NEU is need aware)
anyone hear anything yet? BU gave me 11K in aid lol
Hey! I’m pretty late to the thread but applied for Political Science and International Affairs. Does anybody know when decisions actually come out? I got into Emory and their deposit is due May 31st, but northeastern is my one of my top choice for the co-op program.
Also NEU never requested a mid-term report from me, should I be worried?
