Northeastern vs NYU for public health?

I want to be premed but I’m seriously torn between the two schools. With NYU I find NYC home and the campus set up but I love the idea of co-ops and being close to so many top hospitals with NEU. NYU is only slightly more expensive than NEU but both are affordable. I also understand my major at NYU is a double on of Global Public Health/Bio compared to just Health Sciences at NEU. Which program would you personally recommend?

If you want to go pre-med then think about:

  1. The cheapest reasonable college so you/your parents can use the money for med school
  2. The college needs to prepare you for MCATs but still allow you to get a good GPA
  3. Access to volunteering opportunities (e.g., near a hospital)
  4. Success in graduates getting into med school
  5. Options if you don’t go to med school

Think about housing…what does NYU give you?
