I got admitted into both Northeastern and UIUC for economics. Which of the two is a better place to go to. My goals
are to get a job in IB or something related to finance and to go to grad school after 3-4 years of work. I also want to know which college has a better campus experience and school spirit. Is the co-op program really worth it? Are the large class sizes really a hindrance at UIUC?
Co-ops – and by extension Northeastern – are only “worth it” IF you’re excited by the idea of working full time AS PART OF your undergraduate education. If the only goal you have is a good job after you graduate from a school with a traditional program - go to UIUC. It’s a great school and you will do well once you finish. Just as you would when you graduate from NEU.
